Smarter Teachers: A methodology course for the classroom

This book is the by-product of a Hornby Regional School held in Libreville, Gabon between 8 and 12 September, 2014. Thirty-five participants from eight francophone West and Central African countries attended a course and spent five days looking at issues and ideas of how to train starter teachers. At the end of the course three participants stayed on for a few days and, with the course director, Adrian Tennant, they have written this book.The objectives of the book are as follows:
■■ To provide trainers with ideas and materials to use with starter teachers.
■■ To help trainers throughout the region understand the needs of starter teachers.
■■ To provide a resource that can be used for designing sessions and workshops for both pre- and in-service training courses.
